Currently President of the AAS, Norm has attended many international conferences including various INTERNOISE Congresses and has contributed papers in the areas of Low Frequency Noise and Noise Control. He has been involved with the organisation of many of the national and international acoustics conferences staged in Australia. He is currently employed by Sinclair Knight Merz as the Global Practice Leader for Acoustics, Noise and Vibration
  • Technical Program Chair: Adjunct Professor Charles Don
Charles has retired from the Physics Department, Monash University, where his research interests were in Outdoor Sound Propagation. A former President of AAS, he was Chairman of Wespac 2003 and has helped organise other local acoustic conferences. He is actively co-ordinating many aspects of the forthcoming INTERNOISE 2014 Congress.
  • Technical Program Co-Chair: Adjunct Professor John Davy

  • Sponsorship and Exhibition Manager: Dr Norm Broner
Norm has been heavily involved with organising the equipment exhibitions at the last five society conferences, including the ICA in Sydney in 2010. He is very familiar with what is required to make a successful exhibition and is determined to ensure the one at INTERNOISE 2014 is outstanding.
  • Congress Treasurer: Ms Dianne Williams
With over ten years experience working in various acoustic consultancy firms involved with environmental noise control and vibration assessment, Dianne will assist in many aspects of the Congress. She has agreed to extend her role as treasurer of the Victoria Division of the AAS to act as the Congress Treasurer.
